Chad Jenkins is currently the high school World History and United States History instructor at Detroit High School. Mr. Jenkins graduated from Detroit High School in 1992 and received his Bachelor's Degree in History and Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1997. After spending time in the corporate world with Coca-Cola Enterprises and self-employment, Mr. Jenkins accepted his calling to education and came to Detroit in 2008.
In addition to his duties as a classroom instructor, Mr. Jenkins is the head baseball coach for high school and junior high and head Cross Country coach.
Mr. Jenkins moved to Detroit in 1980 with his family who ran Jenkins' Ranch northeast of Detroit until its sale in 1992. In 1996 he married the former Ms. Katrina McCoin who has been his wife, partner and friend in life for 24 years. Chad and Katrina have two children. Troy, a student at Texas A&M – Commerce and Jacie, a student at Paris Junior College. Mr. Jenkins is highly active in his hobbies and the organizations which he is passionate about. Those hobbies include traveling, fishing, and movies; but his favorite way to pass the time is cooking on his smoker.
