Hi My name Morris Mortensen,

I am a retired Agriculture Teacher who is returning to work,  Detroit ISD has given me the opportunity to work with you and your children this year and I am looking forward to it. I know together we can accomplish great things.  My wife Paula and I are both career teachers and our girls Jennifer Taylor and Jessica Anderton are also employed in education.  Our oldest daughter Jennifer  is a head start teacher in Paris ISD, and Jessica  is a grade school Counselor at Caddo Mills ISD.  Our Grand Children Grady and Bailee Taylor attend Prairiland ISD while Chance and Ashlynn Anderton attend Caddo Mills ISD.  I am a graduate of Bells High School.  I got my BS in Agriculture froum East Texas University in 1976 and Received my MS in Agriculture Education with an emphasis in Agriculture Mechanics and Animal Science.

The classes I will be teaching this year are Intro to Ag. Mechanics, Livestock Production, Welding 1 & 2,  Math in Agriculture and Wildlife Management and Recreation.
