Welcome! 

I am Kelley Dean.  This is my eleventh year as a teacher at Detroit. My areas of certification include Business 6th-12th, and Middle School Generalist 4th - 8th grade.  

Approximately 30 years ago I went to work in a learning center in Amarillo, Texas.  After working just a few days, I realized how much I enjoyed working with children.  I became a director and got my license from the Texas Department of Human Services, I then continued school until I completed my degree.  Prior to teaching, (while working on my degree) I worked in the public sector in business, banking, and accounting. 

My husband, James Hall and all three of our sons Justin, Caleb, and Nathan Salter graduated from Detroit High School. James owns and operates a trucking business in Detroit.  Justin lives in Birmingham, Alabama, Caleb is a biologist on a ship in the Berring Sea off the coast of Alaska, and Nathan lives in Frisco, Texas. Our home is full of animals that we love just like our children.
