This site is hosted by a music academy in the United Kingdom, so all of the interactive characters have pretty strong accents. But the activities are really fun and engaging, and will help the kids learn to identify the various sounds of the orchestra when asked to match them to their corresponding instrument.
This website will be excellent study tool when we get close to our 3-week and 6-week tests over the parts of the orchestra! I highly encourage parents to play around on this site with your children...if you learn the material with them, it will be that much easier to help them study!San Francisco Symphony Kids (Grades 3-5)
This site provides an excellent study method for the orchestra tests we will be having in the upper grades this six weeks! Grades 3, 4 & 5 will be asked to identify whether an instrument belongs to the brass, strings, percussion, or woodwinds section, and will then be asked to identify the specific instrument by name from a multiple-choice list. Clips played during the test will come directly from this website, so I encourage everyone to utilize this tool!Falling Food - Pyramid Game
This game combines arcade action with a test of your child's knowledge of the different parts of the food pyramid. How fast can you name your food groups?!Sid the Science Kid - Mix It Up!
