Detroit Baseball took the field for the first time in 1991. Since then, the program has witnessed huge successes and seen heartbreaking failures. From what I have gathered the Eagles have played in one state tournament, made several long playoff runs and won numerous district championships. The baseball program has had eight all-state players, one Class A Player of the Year and three Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Stars. I am missing several scorebooks from the mid-to-late 1990’s. This time period I can only verify through newspaper archives and personal interviews. Anyone having scorebooks, newspaper clippings, or any information that would be helpful to make an accurate history recording, please contact me at cjenkins@detroiteagles.net.
