Welcome to room 108! I’m so excited that you are in my classroom this year! 2nd grade is so much fun and we will have a total blast! I’m so excited to get to know you this year, but first let me tell you a little about me!
This will be my sixth year to teach! I can’t believe 5 years has gone by so fast already! Last year was my second year in first grade and I absolutely love it! I’m excited that I will be teaching 2nd grade this year! I’ve taught K-4 Inclusion, 4th grade English Language Arts, 5th Grade Science and 1st grade! I previously taught at Paris ISD for 3 years and this will be my third year at Detroit Elementary. Detroit is a fantastic school with awesome teachers and administration. I’m very thankful to be here!
I was raised in Paris where I attended North Lamar. After graduation from North Lamar, I attended PJC and later attended Texas A&M Commerce where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with a focus on English as a Second Language. I am certified to teach early childhood through 6th grade ESL and Special Needs.
When I’m not at school, I love to spend time with my family! I have a 3 year old little girl named Harper who keeps me on my toes at all times! My husband and I are expecting a new little bundle of joy in February! We are so excited and very blessed!! I also enjoy being outdoors fishing with my husband and going to baseball games. I love to travel! I enjoy shopping, baking and crafting! I also have 2 dogs; a lab named Koa and a dachshund named Sadie.
I’m looking forward to working with you and your child. Please feel free to contact me at anytime if you ever have any questions or concerns!
