Message from the Detroit Secondary Principal
At Detroit ISD, we strive to be the best that we can be in every category. Being an Eagle is more than going to school here, having a good test score, stage performance, or scoring a touchdown. It is pushing ourselves to be the absolute best that we can be in whatever we are doing.
Students are, of course, the reason we are all here, but the above statement doesn’t just apply to our students. This statement also applies to our administration, teachers, parents, paraprofessionals, cafeteria, custodial, and maintenance staff members. Anyone that has an opportunity to positively influence our students is a stakeholder.
Everyone, including our students, are here to do a job. That job is to do our absolute best at everything we do. With these instilled values, a child will graduate with more that just a diploma in their hand. They will have a sense of pride and understanding of what it takes to be successful in life.
Mr. Brian Howie
